The Mission of Utah NAHRO is to enhance the opportunity for every Utahn to acquire affordable, decent, and safe housing in a viable community.
Utah NAHRO is a membership association of local housing authorities, community development agencies and housing and redevelopment officials. Its purpose is to advocate for the provision and preservation of adequate and affordable housing for those with low and moderate incomes, and to enhance the professional development and effectiveness.
We advocate for increased resources to serve those in need.
We create professional development opportunities through regular forums.
We provide workshops and training opportunities for our membership.
We provide a collective voice on legislative and regulatory matters.
We serve as a means for communication, collaboration and an exchange of ideas to increase greater understanding of issues.
We believe that as a cohesive group of housing and community development professionals we are able to effectively advocate for the people and communities we serve.
We believe that our elected local, state, and federal officials should be well informed and educated on housing and community development issues to best serve the needs of their constituents.
We believe that publicly assisted housing and community development programs should be made available in a professional, ethical and efficient manner.
